We're always cooking something up at the Library! Whether you're just beginning to put meals together, looking for new inspiration, or hoping to refine your technique, we've got plenty of classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels.

Cooking & Creating at Lakeview

Thursdays, Jan 9-May 28, 4:00-5:00pm - Lakeview Library

Join us on Thursdays at Lakeview Library for all sorts of creative projects! There will be arts and crafts, cooking, games, and more!

Making Soup with Chef Lily Kilfoy

Saturday, Jan 18, 1:00-2:15pm - Meadowridge Library

Join Chef Lily Kilfoy as she demonstrates the art of creating soup from scratch. Lily will discuss the process of making homemade vegetable stock and prepare two soup recipes: Butternut Squash Bisque and Creamy Tomato Soup. A seasonal salad will be included. Vegetarian and nut free. Sample portions of recipes will be served. Register online or call 608-288-6160. This event is funded in part by a grant from CUNA Mutual Foundation.

Family Cooking Class with Chef Lily

Saturday, Jan 18, 3:00-4:15pm - Meadowridge Library

This will be a hands-on class for families. Participants will whip up some of Lily's favorite fun recipes. Registration is now live. All attending adults and children must register. Register online or call 608-288-6160. This event is funded in part by a grant from CUNA Mutual Foundation.

Learning with Chef Paul: Knife Skills and Safety

Thursday, Jan 23, 6:00pm-7:30pm - Lakeview Library

Once your knife skills have improved, your cooking will be more efficient and more delicious. Join Chef Paul for a demonstration on how to dice, julienne, and chiffonade vegetables and fruits. Chef Paul will also discuss how to choose, care for and sharpen knives. Call 246-4547 or register online beginning January 9.

Cooking with Chef Lily

Saturdays, Feb 1 & 8, Mar 7 & 14, Apr 4, May 9 & 16, 12:00-1:00pm - Lakeview Library

Join the Kids Chef Lily Kilfoy in this hands-on cooking class for kids and families. Participants will whip up some of Lily's favorite fun recipes. Kids will learn about healthy, delicious food, learn cooking skills, and get to try all of the creations! Food generously provided by Willy St. Co-op North.
