We're always cooking something up at the Library! Whether you're just beginning to put meals together, looking for new inspiration, or hoping to refine your technique, we've got plenty of classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels.

Vegetarian Cooking Class with Hy-Vee Dietician, Kacie Ferguson

Cooking with Chef Lily Kilfoy (Mixed ages 5-12)

Vegetarian Cooking with Huma Siddiqui

Tuesday, Nov 19, 6:30-7:30pm - Alicia Ashman Library

Join us and learn some delicious vegetarian recipes with Huma Siddiqui from the Spice Box. The recipes are easy, delicious and flavored with fragrant spices, a perfect combination for anyone who wants to spice up their palate. We will be making Tandoori Squash, Cumin Rice and Lentils with Spinach. Register online or call 608-824-1780 beginning Nov 5.


The Many Uses of Sichuan Pepper with Chef Paul Tseng

Mee Siam (A Sweet, Spicy Noodle Dish) with Madame Chu

Madame Chu will demonstrate making Mee Siam, a Peranakan sweet and spicy noodle dish. Participants will also get hands-on experience in making the dish. Register online or call 608-288-6160. Chocolate Truffles

Local baker Punky Eagan will demonstrate how quick and easy truffles are to make for the upcoming holidays. The key is using a good quality, dark chocolate for the richest taste. Sample an assortment of flavors. Registration begins Nov 18.
