Librarian's Picks was a CSA-style (community supported agriculture) service the library offered where customers could send in requests of books or authors they like, such as... “Although we do love dinosaurs, we ask that you do not include any Dino books as we are trying to convince our kiddo to use his words instead of roaring at his friends...” And a librarian would curate a surprise order of other materials they might enjoy based on their submitted preferences.
This program was launched in 2020, originally for the purpose of getting books into people’s hands when we were closed during the pandemic. Once customers were again allowed in the library buildings to browse the stacks, we continued the program. Now that we're a few years out from that, we’re in the process of redesigning the service based on usage statistics and feedback.
So, while we're not accepting new requests right now, you can submit any feedback about the service to us by filling out the contact form on our Contact Us page.
