Outerlibrary Loan Form For Use During COVID-19

Outerlibrary loan (OLL) is a borrowing privilege available to residents of Adams, Columbia, Dane, Green, Portage, Sauk, and Wood County. This service normally allows customers to borrow materials or copies of articles unavailable in LINKcat from libraries across the nation.

However, during the COVID-19 crisis most libraries are closed and cannot supply any materials. A limited number of libraries MAY be able to send us scans of certain articles or book chapters. If you would like to request an article or a scan, please be aware of the following limitations:

  1. Absolutely no physical items can be requested (books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs). We will cancel any requests for these.
  2. You must supply an email address so we can deliver your item electronically. If you do not, we will cancel your request.
  3. With so many libraries entirely closed, we probably won’t be able to exhaust every possibility for getting your item. This means you might need to re-request when the state and national resource sharing networks are fully restored. If your request can wait, consider holding it for now.
