Between now and November 15, families who are not required to file taxes can sign-up for the federal Child Tax Credit by going to, English, or, Spanish. The Code for America created the online sign-up tool in collaboration with the White House and Treasury. It is mobile friendly and most families can complete it within about 15 minutes.
We invite you to share this important opportunity with residents in your area so if they are eligible, they will not miss out! Families of over 60 million children are already receiving the Child Tax Credit - $3,600 annually for children under 6 and $3,000 for kids between 6 and 17 – but families who haven’t signed up and earn too little to have to file taxes are missing out.
