Colorlines is a news site founded by Race Forward, a national organization devoted to advancing racial equity through media.  Race matters in the journalism of Colorlines, which covers news from a variety of perspectives and includes groups that are often underrepresented or absent in mainstream media.

The Root has been providing fine journalism from a variety of black perspectives since 2008.  It covers all aspects of American life, including international and national news coverage, arts and culture reporting, opinion and politics.

We Need Diverse Books Organization

We Need Diverse Books is an organization of children's book authors, educators, creative artists and children's literature lovers that works for change in the publishing industry to ensure that all children will be able to picture themselves in the pages of a book.  The site features booklists, where to find and purchase diverse literature, mentorships and programs to promote diversity in books at home and in the classroom.  

Project Implicit

Project Implicit

Project Implicit is a non-profit organization and international collaboration between researchers who are interested in implicit social cognition - thoughts and feelings outside of conscious awareness and control. The goal of the organization is to educate the public about hidden biases and to provide a “virtual laboratory” for collecting data on the Internet. Tests include social attitudes of race, gender, age and other topics.  Login not required.
