Madison Public Library is partnering with Public Health Madison & Dane County to host the third annual Period Party at Goodman South Madison Library in September! This year, the program is expanding from a single-day celebration to a multi-session series where youth and families can go in-depth to learn about menstruation, puberty, period products, and more. Each event is led by a speaker from Public Health Madison & Dane County, with additional activities and snacks offered, and plenty of time for questions along the way.
These programs are hosted as part of Madison Public Library's Live Well @ Your Library initiative, and made possible thanks to generous support from WPS Health Solutions.

Menstrual Inequity

September 16, 5:30-7pm | Goodman South Madison Library
Many inequities exist when it comes to education about the menstrual cycle, and access to period and reproductive health products. This session in the Period Party series is for all ages and genders. Public Health Madison & Dane County will lead a presentation that looks at data from the state and national level, as well as lay out some of the impacts of menstrual inequities. We'll wrap up by discussing together what we can do at a local level to advocate for change.
