Weddings at Central Library

Due to a high number of applications 2025 Weddings have been Fully Booked at this time.  You are welcome to reach out to the Event's Team to find out how to join our 2025 waitlist.

We will begin booking 2026 weddings on April 1st, 2025************

 

Madison's Central Library is located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin; a prime location within walking distance to bars, restaurants, and hotels. 

When you book your Wedding with us you are reserving the entire 3rd Floor of the Central Library for an unforgettably unique Wedding.  And the best part is you are helping to support Library Programming in your Community.

A tour of our 3rd Floor Event Space is required prior to booking. Our 2024 Approved Catering List can be found below.

Event Packages

Short Story (Ceremony Only)

Our Short Story package includes Ceremony only and can accommodate up to 170 people.

  • Ceremonies include 3 hours of rental space during Library Hours, this includes any decorating time.

Novel (Reception & Dance)

Our Novel package includes Reception only and can accommodate up to 150 people. 

  • Receptions include 8 hours of rental space from 3pm-11pm.

Epic (Full Wedding Package)

Our Epic package includes Ceremony & Reception and can accommodate up to 150 people.

  • This package includes 11 hours or rental space from 12pm-11pm.

W. Jerome Frautschi Madison Room

The Madison Room is a unique, airy, and elegant space perfect for ceremonies, receptions, and/or dances.  Wall to ceiling windows fill the room with natural light and provide wonderful nighttime views.

Diane Endres Ballweg Art Gallery

The Art Gallery extends from the Madison Room past the Community Room to the 3rd floor restrooms. The displays in the Gallery are rotating installations part of Madison Public Library's Bubbler. (photo by Shanna Wolf)

Madison Community Foundation Community Room

The Community Room features dark gray carpeting and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. The catering kitchen is located at one end of the Community Room. For smaller events, this space can be divided into two rooms—Room 301 and Room 302—with a drop down wall.
