Meeting and Study Rooms

Madison Public Library has both study rooms and larger meeting rooms available for use at nearly all our locations.

Reserving a Room

Once you've read through our Meeting and Study Room Policy and filled out an application (if necessary), visit or call the library location you'd like to reserve space at. Library staff at each location handle the reservations for the rooms at their library.

Study Rooms

Study Room

The primary purpose of the study rooms is to provide space for small groups to study, meet, and work. Advance reservations for small groups can be made if the person making the reservation has a valid library card from Madison Public Library or any other library within the South Central Library System. Please see our Meeting and Study Room Policy for more details.

Meeting rooms are intended for larger groups than study rooms, and therefore have additional usage requirements. Meeting rooms may be used at no charge by eligible groups and/or individuals for educational, cultural, informational or governmental/civic activities and may include public lectures, panel discussions, workshops and other functions. Meetings must be free and open to the general public at all times. Groups must also complete a Meeting Room Usage Application. Please see our Meeting and Study Room Policy for more details.
