Aging + Dementia Awareness Classes

In partnership with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dane County, Madison Public Library is hosting a series of aging and dementia-awareness classes throughout 2025. Classes are intended for older adults and their families, but all are welcome.

Join OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center for an Information Session on Durable Powers of Attorney for health care and finances.  In addition to information that is relevant to everyone, Attorney Patricia Foley will be sharing information that anticipates the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ Community. 

This FREE event is open to all adults and is brought to you by OutReach Elder Services & the LGBTQ 50+ Alliance.

Memory screening is an important part of overall health and much like other routine health screenings. The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Dane County is offering free and confidential 15-minute memory screening appointments, including educational materials about memory concerns and brain health.

Schedule an appointment online with the link below, by phone at 266-6395, or in person. Registration opens two weeks before the program date (September 22).

Join Kayla Olson, Dementia Care Specialist from the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Dane County (ADRC) to find out what happens to our brains as we get older, get tips to reduce the risks for dementia as you age, and learn more about the difference between normal age-related memory loss and signs of dementia.

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Dane County provides information about resources and support on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability. The ADRC is a one-stop shop for older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers and families. ADRC staff are unbiased and knowledgeable professionals who listen to your concerns, help clarify your options and direct you to appropriate resources.
