Computers

All computers have Microsoft Office and usage is limited to 90 minutes per day.

  • Monday–Friday: 10am-7:45pm 
  • Saturday: 9am-4:45pm

Library computers are available on a first come, first served basis. See the Internet and Computer Access page for information about making reservations or call 608-246-4548.

​Hawthorne's small study room is a private space with a computer station equipped with a camera, microphone, and speakers, to facilitate videoconferencing appointments and interviews. Please call Hawthorne Library, 608-246-4548, for availability.

Patrons with Young Children

This location has a family computer table, located in the children's area, that is reserved for patrons with young children. Drop-ins are welcome without a reservation. Please call Hawthorne Library, 608-246-4548, for availability.

Printing

Printing is available for a fee:

  • Black-and-white prints: .10 per page
  • Color prints: .50 per page

Scanning

Scanning is available at this location by:

  • Using a flatbed scanner at the public computing stations
  • Scanning to a flash/thumb drive using the photocopier

Photocopying

Copying is available for a fee:

  • Black-and-white copies: .10 per page
  • Color copies: .50 per page

Faxing

Ask staff at the Help Desk for assistance with free public faxing using the photocopier.

Wireless Information

No security code is required for the unsecured wireless network.
