A Junk Journal is a handmade book made of repurposed, upcycled materials. This book can be a place to tell your story through paint, poetry, writing, drawing, ripping paper and gluing things together, cutting pictures out of magazines that you like...or however! There are no rules in junk journaling and no artistic experience needed!
Come and relax and make something beautiful! This program is intended for adults and youth and is best for ages 8 and up. ¡hablamos español!
Please bring any journal/notebook/planner that you have laying around that you'd like to repurpose. We will provide magazines, stickers, interesting papers, and other crafting items, as well as glue sticks and scissors. Feel free to bring items from your own craft stash to use or share.
Registration is recommended to assist with supplies but is not required.
All dates this workshop will be offered are: September 20 – Meadowridge Library / November 15 – Pinney Library / December 13 - Ashman Library/ December 30 - Central Library (all take place from 1-2:30pm)
Un Junk Journal es un libro hecho a mano con materiales reutilizados y reciclados. No hay reglas para un Junk Journal y no se necesita experiencia artística. ¡Ven a relajarte y crea algo hermoso! Este programa está dirigido a adultos y jóvenes, y es ideal para mayores de 8 años.
Por favor, trae cualquier diario, cuaderno o agenda que tengas por ahí y que te gustaría reutilizar.
Te proporcionaremos revistas, pegatinas, papeles interesantes y otros artículos para manualidades, así como barras de pegamento y tijeras. Siéntete libre de traer materiales creativos de tu casa para usar o compartir.
