Madison Public Library-Alicia Ashman Branch 25th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate 25 years of Alicia Ashman Library, Saturday, October 11 from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.! On October 14, 2000, patrons gathered for Alicia Ashman’s grand opening ceremony, and 25 years later we invite you to gather in celebration with cake, giveaways, interactive activities for all ages, and more.

Activities will include: 

• Mini Cake Sculptures: An Art Workshop with Bubbler Artist-in-Residence National Velvet
• Alicia Ashman time capsule unveiling
• Community Puzzle – 25th Anniversary edition
• Guest Speakers, including Margie Navarre Saaf, Alicia Ashman’s first Supervisor and current Borrower Services Manager

• View our collection of “Book Drop Memories Discovered”
• Share your first library memory, what you love about the library, and your hopes for the library of the future by adding candles to our non-edible cake created by Bubbler Artist-in-Residence National Velvet
