Inner World

Inner World
Reviewed on 12/17/18

A point-and-click adventure game for older players. Robert is a wind monk's apprentice who finds himself on an adventure. Players help guide him through the adventure, tapping where they want him to walk or tapping on objects or characters they want him to interact with. There are lots of clues to uncover and you must use the objects you find (or combine them together) to solve the puzzles. The app is nicely paced with clues that are helpful without giving too much away. All text is both written and read aloud by a narrator. One of the scenes takes place in a bar with a few snippets of conversation hinting at mature topics and the app does include some minor swearing, so take that into consideration when deciding what age child you'd like to share this one with. It's great for parent-child or sibling co-play as sometimes it's useful to have more than one person thinking through the puzzles. Fans of Tiny Bang Story will likely enjoy this one as well.  If you do love it, there's also a sequel called (predictably) "Inner World 2." The app is available on many platforms including Steam, XBox & Playstation.
