Country Briefings section provides news, profiles, forecasts and statistics on 60 major countries. Main focus is on detailing the political and economic structures of each country.

Formerly available in paper format, the Country Studies series includes electronic editions of books published between 1988 and 1998. The series "presents a description and analysis of the historical setting and the social, economic, political, and national security systems and institutions of countries throughout the world". Recent updates to this database are available via the Country Profiles site.
