A new website from the "U.S. Department of Education offering consumers information on colleges in an easy-to-use format.  It provides information on nearly 7,000 postsecondary institutions in the United States -- programs offered, retention and graduation rates, prices, aid available, degrees awarded, campus safety, and accreditation."

Compiled by the Education and Social Science Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, this site links to higher education rankings for undergraduate, graduate, and specialty schools in the U.S. and around the world. The site includes well-known rankings, such as those from Money Magazine or U.S. News and World Report as well as lesser-known or more specific rankings.

Guide to U.S. colleges and universities sorted by name, state, and type. Also includes Christian schools, historically African-American schools, ratings for best colleges (from U.S. News and World Report), and links for college admissions questions.

The CPD's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Recommending policy to the Mayor, Common Council and Department of Civil Rights in all areas that affect people with disabilities and their families; studying and making recommendations to all City departments, committees and commissions on proposals to provide better access to facilities and services for people with disabilities and their families; and soliciting comments and suggestions from citizens and organized groups regarding the concerns of citizens with disabilities.
