Make your own Valentine's Day Cards and more activities at Madison Public Library

We're hosting multiple opportunities to make your own Valentine's Day card at the library. Whether you do elaborate folding techniques at Lakeview Library, make a light-up card at Meadowridge Library or put your own spin on things at Goodman South Madison Library, you can spread the love this Valentine's Day. Plus, we're hosting a Valentine's Day Pancake Dinner for families at Meadowridge Library on Valentine's Day - join us!

Just in time for Valentine's Day we're sharing a checklist of 15 FREE Date Ideas to try at Madison Public Library. Check out a cookbook and try a new recipe with your partner or do some slow dancing accompanied by a vinyl record from our collection. Have you tried any of these activities? You can pick up a printed version of this checklist at any of our locations and use them throughout the year!

Quilted Hearts

February 4, 9AM-12PM | Pinney Library

Join the global community of crafters who spread joy by anonymously leaving quilted hearts in a public place waiting for someone to give them a home. Then check the website, www.IFAQH.com (I found a quilted heart) to see if yours will appear.

A palm-sized fabric heart is easy to make from fabric scraps, ribbon, yarn, beads, and other embellishments. A pattern and suggested sewing and fusing techniques and a wide variety of materials will be provided. A sewing machine will be provided as well as other tools but you may want to bring your lucky fabric scissors.

No experience is required. Gloria Welniak, local quilter and crafter will guide you through any technique you may want to employ. Registration is required, as space is limited. REGISTER
