#ThinkGreen at Goodman South Madison

Think Green

#ThinkGreen this winter! Join in the art adventure happening at Goodman South Madison Library with TetraPAKMAN and friends.

You'll help build a site-specific installation based on reclaimed and repurposed materials, such as plastic bottles and containers, mixing our creativity and ideas with abstraction to produce pieces that call for a more sustainable future.

#ThinkGreen is part of the Bubbler at Madison Public Library's traveling Artist-in-Residence program. Learn more on the Bubbler website

Workshop Dates

Saturday, January 13 from 1:00-3:00pm
Tuesday, January 16 from 6:00-8:00pm

About the Artist

TetraPAKMAN (Victor Castro) is a Mexican artist working in social sculpture. His work focuses on questions of sustainability, the environment, educational strategies, social networks, and the future. His community-generated projects are made from thousands of repurposed, often discarded everyday objects that are gathered by people from all walks of life. TetraPAKMAN’s work has been shown in Mexico, Spain, Peru and the United States. He is currently living and working in Madison WI.

Funding generously provided by the Friends of Madison Public Library supports these artists, allowing them the space, time, and materials necessary to explore the communities in some of our neighborhood libraries through various forms of art-making and creation.
