Lakeview Library is hosting a 3-part series, Sheep to Sweater, about how wool is spun into yarn. One session is scheduled per month February-April.
February 18, 11AM-12:30PM | Lakeview Library
The first event is led by Lauren of Mother of Purl. Lauren is a professional spinner, dyer, and designer and will do a spinning demonstration where participants will have the opportunity to see up close how spinning works, and ask any questions. After the demonstration, anyone who would like to is welcome to stick around for a crafting social. Space is limited; registration is required for this program. REGISTER
March 18, 10AM-12PM | Lakeview Library
In the second event of our Sheep to Sweater Series, learn about the wool dying process! Each participant will have the opportunity to dye a skein of yarn in this workshop. All of the materials will be provided.
Registration opens on March 4 at 9AM, two weeks prior to program date.
April 15, 10AM-12PM | Lakeview Library
In our third, and final, event in the Sheep to Sweater Series, we'll be gathering together to knit and crochet! Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are an experienced crafter, or completely new to knitting and crocheting. If you participated in our previous yarn dying event, skeins will be available to pick up, and ready to cast on. All yarn and needles will be provided.
Registration opens on April 1 at 9AM, two weeks prior to program date.
