Madison Public Library will host a series of Red Cross Blood Drives at our Central Library location throughout December. Right now, the American Red Cross has an emergency blood shortage. The Red Cross national blood inventory is the lowest it’s been at this time of year since 2015, with less than a day’s supply of certain blood types in recent weeks. The Red Cross is working around the clock to meet the blood needs of hospitals and patients – but can’t do it alone. Please see below for multiple blood drive dates for which you can sign up to participate.
Masks are required, and the Red Cross will provide a mask if you don't have one.
All blood drives will take place at Central Library in Community Rooms 301 and 302 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
