This summer the Dream Bus is visiting neighborhoods all over Madison to share We Read bags of books and hands on art and maker activities! Check out our calendar to find the schedule and locations.

We Read

We're in the third chapter of the We Read program! We'll be celebrating all the ways We Read with Our Ears from July 6-19. Check out the We Read website, and share ways that YOU read with your ears using the hashtag #WeReadMadison or tagging @MadisonPublicLibrary on Instagram!

Curious about Vel Phillips, the activist hero? Local leaders have proposed to erect a statue of her on the capitol grounds. PBS has an interactive, kid-oriented biography website with information about Vel Phillips and her colleague, Father James Groppi. Listen to interviews, do some research, and even design a Vel Phillips trading card.
