Kids Code Madison

Three young kids learning how to code in front of a computer.

Older elementary kids interested in programming and coding can get involved with Kids Code Madison events at Hawthorne Library! New and experienced coders are welcome.

Upper elementary (4th and 5th Grade) and middle school students are invited to Kids Code Madison, a weekly, drop-in coding club. A volunteer-led program, youth can program their own interactive stories, games, and animations using programs and tools like Scratch and Python. Special note: Programming activities are not appropriate for younger elementary school kids.

Girls Code Madison

A free night of coding just for girls. We will teach a short lesson and co-create a project using code. New, novice and experienced coders are welcome and encouraged. Recommended for girls in 4th - 10th grade.
