Madison Public Library is proud to be a safe place for immigrants and refugees.
The library can offer phone interpreter services and immigrant rights information. And we can connect folks to resources and community organizations that offer further assistance.

Open Doors for Refugees: Public Meeting
August 15 | 6:30-8:00pm | Goodman South Madison Library
Informational meeting for those interested in volunteering to help refugees make a home in Madison. Open Doors for Refugees is a non-faith-based volunteer organization founded to help settle refugees arriving in the Madison area. We work both independently and in conjunction with Lutheran Social Services and Jewish Social Services, the two refugee resettlement agencies in Madison.
A few of our activities include collecting furniture and household donations, setting up apartments, providing transportation, and cultural orientation.
The meeting is open to the public and is a forum so people can learn more about what we do and how to get involved with Open Doors.
