Guaranteed Interviews – Job Skills Bank

Join City of Madison Department of Civil Rights staff in this training session for job searchers. Learn how the job skills bank can assist you in obtaining meaningful employment. This workshop will walk participants through the job skills bank application process, discuss next steps for applicants, and inform participants about how the Department of Civil Rights can assist them. Presented by Felicia Jones.

General Job & Writing Assistance

Get free writing assistance with a strong focus on professional development and application writing, including resumes, cover letters, personal letters, applications, forms, and more! Help looking for work online, or filling out an online job application is also provided. Sign up for a free one hour session of one-on-one assistance by calling 266-6350.

Meet with a Rep from LifeLine Cell Phones: Free Phones for Eligible Individuals
Goodman South Madison Library | Tuesdays, July 18-October 31 | 1:00-3:00PM

Goodman South Madison Library has partnered with Lifeline Management Systems (LMS) and will be offering FREE CELL PHONES to income eligible individuals. Interested parties should bring a Wisconsin driver’s license or state identification card to the large meeting room (Room 115).

WorkSmart Job Help / Ayuda de Trabajo

Drop in for a 30-60 minute session with a job coach to assess your career goals, find out if you qualify for additional programs and services through the WorkSmart Network and get help with job searches, resumes, and interviewing.

Madison Writing Assistance: General and Job-Related Writing Help
Sequoya Library | Fridays: July 21 & July 28 | 3:00-6:00PM

Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind, including resumes and cover letters, school assignments, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters, articles, memoirs, poems or any other kind of writing. Basic computer help, such as setting up email accounts, searching for jobs online, or filling out online job applications, is also available. Call 266-6385 to make a 45-minute appointment.
