While libraries remain closed, Madison Public Library is highlighting three new library services to the public: telephone service, the Madison Internet Access Information Line, and curbside pickup service starting May 11.
Library Telephone Service
Madison Public Library is now offering centralized telephone reference service. To speak with library staff, call 608-315-5151 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., seven days a week. Library staff can help with questions about your library card, online collection access, ebook and downloadable audiobook support, social services referrals, reference and homework questions, and more.
Madison Internet Access Information Line
For those who need help finding access to the internet, library staff can assist in locating nearby public wi-fi, or provide information about free or low-cost internet access plan options and contact information to request internet access from private companies or public assistance programs. Call 608-315-5151 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., seven days a week, for assistance.
Curbside Pickup Service
Madison Public Library will offer pickup service starting Monday, May 11, at all Madison Public Library locations, with the exception of Alicia Ashman Library which is currently in renovations. Patrons can:
- pick up existing holds currently on the shelves at all libraries except Alicia Ashman
- place holds on specific items currently available in libraries, online via LINKcat or by calling 608-315-5151
- ask library staff to make recommendations and place holds for other materials available at specific libraries by calling 608-315-5151
