USS Bubbler Regatta 

Ahoy shipbuilders! Anchors away for the second annual Bubbler Regatta! Create your own mini vessels from recycled materials, test their seaworthiness, and race against your friends down our raingutter course… you may have to supply your own wind. Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

Marble Runs with Sylvie Rosenthal

Design and create your own marble run with plywood, nails, rubberbands, and more with guest Bubbler artist Sylvie Rosenthal. Practice your hammering and precision with kid sized, real tools to make your own intricate maze. Kid sized safety glasses and earplugs also provided. Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

Indigo Dyeing with Hannah Bennett

Experiment with indigo dye with previous Bubbler artist in residence Hannah Bennett. Learn how to construct a dying vat, make the dye and create dyed patterns on socks or bandanas. Bring your own plain white, washed t-shirt or other material to dye too! Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

Humpty Dumpty Challenge

Can your contraption withstand the fall from our wall and protect your humpty dumpty? Use all your bubbler-engineering skills to design a contraption from recycled materials to safely drop your Humpty Dumpty egg 10 feet without cracking! Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

Whoopensocker at the Library!​

Whoopensocker is a dynamic improv and theater program for kids. Join Whoopensocker teaching artists for three afternoons of theater games, brainstorming, and interactive character development to create your own silly stories. Every idea in Whoopensocker is a good idea! Join for all three, or just one of this series - it’s new every time, and there is always something to learn. Open to children ages 7 and up.
