About the Art of the Picture Book Collection
The Sequoya Library houses Madison's largest and most heavily used picture book collection. Thanks to a generous grant from the Madison Community Foundation, Sequoya now has the opportunity to expand their selection. Adding depth and breadth to an already widely-used collection, Sequoya will focus on adding Caldecott and other award-winning picture books, ensuring that library patrons have access to the finest books for children.
In addition, Madison Community Foundation funds have underwritten the costs for an activity-rich emergent literacy alcove where the collection will be housed, giving families the opportunity to share the best of the best in picture books and a delightful ambiance in which they can be enjoyed.
