April 7, 2017 Issue

In this issue:

Red, White & Read

Combine your passions for books and sports! Join us for Red, White & Read on Saturday, April 8, from 10:00am-12:00pm. Stop by Central Library to read with UW student athletes, check out books, and more at this event sponsored by the UW Student United Way and SAESO. You may even get to meet Bucky!

Say goodbye to the old Dane County Bookmobile and hello to the new one! There will be a variety of interactive, artistic ways for kids and adults to deconstruct the old bus, tour the new bus, and participate in related activities in the Central Library Children's Room!

Library LEGO Clubs

Join other LEGO fans and build your own unique creation! LEGO clubs at Madison Public Library allow kids the opportunity to build alongside other kids who love LEGOs.  Sometimes the librarian may provide a theme for inspiration; other times, it's just an opportunity to explore the open-ended possibilities of creating with a giant mountain of LEGOs.

Join us for our upcoming LEGO events:

Pinney: Monday,  May 1st, 2:30pm
Meadowridge: Tuesdays, April 11th and May 9th, 4:00pm

Bring your LEGO-building skills to the next level - join us for LEGO Buildathon! Stop by Hawthorne Library on Wednesday, April 12th, at 2:00pm for two hours of LEGO blocks, LEGO coloring sheets, foam blocks, and lots of time for building!

If you have LEGOs at home that your children have outgrown or no longer use, please consider donating them to the library. Just bring them to your nearest [../../../location]location to give our LEGO clubs more of the raw material they need.
