Oral History 102: Practicing Your Interview Skills

Thursday, Jun 20, 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Local historian Sarah White leads participants through practice in using oral history interviewing techniques. We’ll review how to be a skilled listener, and practice using the Madison Public Library's new Living History Kits, including audio recorders, that will be available for checkout by MPL cardholders.

Sarah White has lots of experience with oral history and community history. She is the author of “Madison Women Remember Growing Upin Wisconsin’sCapital” and co-author of "An East Side Album,’ a community history of Madison's east side.

Sign up if you've attended Oral History 101 or have some experience with oral history and want to practice and polish your interview skills.
