The Youth Action Board is partnering with local filmmaker Mitch Deitz and the Madison Central Library for a screening of the short documentary No Place Like Home.
No Place Like Home examines youth homelessness in Madison. The film primarily follows Deitz's friend Jivonte Davis, who was homeless while they were classmates together at Madison East High School.
Immediately following the screening will be an round table conversation moderated by Robin Sereno (Chair, Committee to End Youth Homelessness).
Panelists include: Mitch Deitz, Jivonte Davis, Amy Noble (MMSD social worker), Fabiola Hamden (Dane County Human Services) and members of the Youth Action Board - a group of young people with lived experience who have joined forces to enact youth driven solutions to eliminate youth homelessness in our community.
