Monroe Street Library is participating in Trick or Treat on Monroe Street, Saturday, October 26, 2024. The library will provide treats for kids in costume (while supplies last).

Bring what you can in terms of (adult) clothing that no longer serves you but could find a new life with someone else; and take whatever catches your eye! No need to bring something to take something, and no need to take something if you bring something to donate. This program presented in partnership with ReWear-It UW Madison as part of the Care & Repair series.

The Munch Mobile Lunch Van will make a stop at Lakeview Library on Saturdays this fall.  All people in and around the library can get a free lunch between 12:00 and 12:20pm.

Calling all LEGO enthusiasts - come and build with us at the library!

Join us each month (Sept 28, Oct 26, Nov 23) to flex your engineering muscles and to meet other kids.  We've got lots of LEGOS, all you need to bring is your creativity and imagination. Please note the time for this event has shifted from 1:00-2:30 to accomodate our facilitator. 

For children ages 5-12.

The Madison Writing Assistance (MWA) program offers free, one-to-one writing support for community members at library branches throughout the city. Our friendly, experienced writing coaches are happy to help with writing projects across a wide range of genres, including resumes, cover letters, application essays, grant proposals, fiction writing, memoirs, and more.
