National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy and promoting voter registration. Meet City Clerk staff to celebrate National Voter Registration Day and learn about the upcoming general election and access to voting in Madison.

Madison Public Library has partnered with the City Clerk's office to celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 17, 2024! In honor of the celebrations, the clerk's office will host tables in our libraries on Tuesday, September 17 and Saturday, September 21 to sign people up to vote. Stop by the tables during the following times with your photo ID and proof of residency to register to vote ahead of the General Election this fall.

Community English - Intermediate

Intermediate Students: Practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing English with the Literacy Network.
Fall 2024 classes are September 21 - December 14, Saturdays, 10 am - 12 pm (no class November 30), in-person at Goodman South, Madison Public Library. This class is free for students 18 years old and up living permanently in Dane County. A class for beginner students will be held at Literacy Network at the same time.
