10:30am	10:30am to 11:30am Storytime Storytime Hawthorne Library Community Room Wednesday, Feb 22, 10:30am to 11:30am READ and PLAY together with children 5 & under! Stories and songs for about 20 mins and a hands-on activity to follow. Engaging with books, songs and playful experiences all help children develop communication skills, patience, empathy, and pre-reading skills - and helps to build a lifelong love of reading. Library programs are always free. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome. We will start with a short storytime followed by a crown decorating activity and opportunity to get a picture with Ms. Wisconsin. This program is geared towards youth ages 3-5. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome. TeKema was the first Miss Black USA (2019) from the LGTBQ+ community and the first woman from WI to win a national title. Additionally, TeKema is a registered nurse, high jump coach, board member for Free Bikes 4 Kids, and healthcare advocate. Community Room

Come to Hawthorne for a special storytime featuring USOA Ms. Wisconsin, TeKema Balentine! We will start with a short storytime followed by a crown decorating activity and opportunity to get a picture with Ms. Wisconsin. This program is geared towards youth ages 3-5.
