Do your cooped up kids need a warm, free place to run and be loud? Come experience Anji Play! In this weekly award-winning program kids lead the play while adults step back and observe with deep curiosity. This educational approach rooted in True Play was created in Anji County in China. Madison Public Library is a pilot site for developing a library-based Anji Play model. Open to all ages. No registration required.

Storytime (ages 5 & under)

READ and PLAY together with children under age 5!
Engaging with books, songs and playful experiences all help children develop communication skills, patience, empathy, and pre-reading skills and helps to build a lifelong love of reading. We will start with a short storytime and then have playtime.
Library programs are always free. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome.

Teen Page to Screen Club - Pokemon

Join us for this unique book club where we discuss a book and then watch the film adaptation! All teens and tweens are welcome to attend! You don't need to read an entire book, but you must have read enough to contribute something to the discussion in order to watch the movie. If you read in Meadowridge Library or the Meadowood Neighborhood Center, your reading time will also count towards the Get Down Party that week! Snacks will be provided!
This month, we will be reading any Pokemon Manga and watching Pokemon Detective Pikachu. Stop into the library to check out a copy of one of the Pokemon Mangas!

Teens and Tweens! Join us for yoga and wellness activities provided by Zen Ed Wellness! This is a recurring, 4-week workshop series taking place every Tuesday from January 17 - February 7. Yoga can help teens and tweens in many ways including reducing stress, alleviating anxiety, improving focus, and building self-esteem.
Bring your own yoga mat, or use one of ours. We are excited to see you there!
