As one parent said, "It's like art school, but with no assignments." In the Tiny True Play Studio, we encourage kids to try out their own ideas as they explore clay, stickers, scissors, paint and more.  Process is more important than a final product. Messy clothes recommended. Weather permitting, this event will be outdoors.

Engaging with books, songs and playful experiences all help children develop communication skills, patience, empathy, and pre-reading skills​ and helps to build a lifelong love of reading. We will start with a short storytime and then have playtime.

Library programs are always free. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome.

Many people are experiencing financial hardship right now.The African Center for Community Development will be located at the Lakeview Library on Tuesdays, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, to help individuals and families who owe back rent apply for Dane Core assistance. Eligible households in need of rental and utility assistance should stop by.

Drop in to Meadowridge Library for art, making, tinkering, and fun! This week, we will be mixing up bubble solution and making our very own bubble wands to blow giant bubbles! This session will take place outside on the sidewalk in front of Meadowridge Library. In the event of bad weather, we will be in the children's area instead and will do a different activity (to be announced).

All ages welcome. Children under 5 will need extra help from a parent or caregiver.
