USPS Job Fair
The United States Postal Service (USPS) wants you! USPS staff will provide information on the various positions being offered within the Madison area, as well as open USPS positions within the United States. Come to Goodman South Madison Library and receive assistance from USPS staff with the hiring process on the following dates, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.:
- Tuesday, August 2
- Tuesday, August 16
- Tuesday, September 13
- Thursday, September 15
And, Mondays starting September 26 - October 31.
Positions start between $17.32 - $19.62 per hour. No reservations necessary. All are welcome!

Multi-Age Storytime (ages 5 & under)
READ and PLAY together with children under age 5!
Engaging with books, songs and playful experiences all help children develop communication skills, patience, empathy, and pre-reading skills and helps to build a lifelong love of reading. We will start with a short storytime and then have playtime.
Library programs are always free. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome.
Dane CORE Rental Assistance
Are you behind on your rent because of the pandemic, either directly or indirectly? You are not alone. Many people are experiencing financial hardship right now.The African Center for Community Development will be located at the Lakeview Library on Tuesdays, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, to help individuals and families who owe back rent apply for Dane Core assistance. Eligible households in need of rental and utility assistance should stop by.

Live Well: Organizing, Decluttering and Downsizing Tips with Moving Forward Wisconsin
Kathie Newman, Client Liaison for Moving Forward, will talk about the process of decluttering and downsizing and ways to make it less stressful. Learn about taking good items to donation centers and arranging for profitable disposal of unwanted items through auction, buy-out, consignment or a combination. Learn of resources available for those looking for assistance with unpacking and setting up a new home.

A new not-a-book club all about podcasts! Each month, we'll host a listening party featuring one podcast episode while doing a hands-on project together. In September we'll listen to an episode of The Imagine Neighborhood called Macho and the Worrycane, make our own "worrywarts" and host a Smelling Bee!
Family Science Starters
Bring your whole family out for fun STEM experiences led by our youth librarian and by a University of Wisconsin science grad student! Drop in any time between 4:00 and 6:00 on Tuesdays for a free snack and some cool science.

Audifax will host weekly open studios exploring various mediums throughout her residency. Drop in and contribute to her ongoing community projects or work on something of your own.
Tinkering Tuesday: My Library/Your Library
Drop in to the children's area at Meadowridge Library for art, making, tinkering, and fun! This week, we will be making a scale model of the Meadowridge Library. Stop by to help us work on the model and make a tiny version of yourself to go inside!
All ages welcome. Children under 5 will need extra help from a parent or caregiver.
