All Library Events Canceled

Monday, Mar 16 (All day)

Effective Monday, March 16, we are canceling all library-led events indefinitely. This includes all library storytimes and regular programs run by our library staff. This decision was made based on public health concerns as well as predicted staffing availability. We are also following guidelines recommended by the Governor of Wisconsin and the Public Health Madison & Dane County and canceling all community events in our libraries that have an expected audience of 250 or more effective immediately.

2020 Census Applicant Days - Work for the Census!

2020 Census Applicant Days - Work for the Census!

*In Sequoya Library
Monday, Mar 16, 2:00pm to 7:00pm

April 1, 2020 is Census Day! The Census Bureau needs to hire a lot of Madison residents to ensure a complete count of everyone who lives here - especially people who will not initially participate by phone, mail, or website. Recruiters from the U.S. Census will be spreading awareness and helping people apply on the spot with Applicant Days. Following up with every missed individual requires the work of many Census Takers. It's a great part-time job that will pay $17-$23/hour in Dane County. (ages 18 and up)
