Share Your Story With Zines

Drop by The Bubbler Room at Central Madison Public Library to draw with our current Artist-In-Residence, illustrator Alanna Stapleton. Learn about zines, DIY zine culture, and how making zines is a fun and accessible way to tell the unique story of your cultural heritage. Get inspired, respond to drawing prompts and guided drawing exercises, and make a zine to share your story!

While you're downtown make sure to stop by Overture Center for the Arts to check out International Fest before or after making your zine.

Overture brings the world to Madison for this festival celebrating cultures from all over the globe. The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.

Camp Kesem UW-Madison Community Info Session

Camp Kesem at UW-Madison's mission is to support children through and beyond a parent or guardian's cancer. CKUW will be holding an informational session to inform families and friends about our mission and the free services we provide. During this event, we will also be holding a volunteer service event with people of the CKUW community. All are welcome to attend the informational session and help with the service project!
