UpStage Stigma is a project through which artists tell stories of mental illness and emotional struggle with performance art. Community members and mental health practitioners produce an event that uses art and social justice to cultivate appreciation for our shared human experiences. Together, we break the barriers of stigma that divide us through art, empathy, and advocacy.
This program is part of the series, "What We Are Going Through: Listening to Mental Illness," funded by a grant from Beyond the Page, Madison Community Foundation and the National Endowments for the Humanities.
