Gentle Yoga with Kristin Sage
Friday, Oct 25, 1:00pm to 2:00pm
This 6-session yoga series will focus on mindful movement and breathing to provide support for posture and balance. Yoga postures focus on stability and alignment for a safe introduction to Hatha Yoga practices. This introductory series is appropriate for those who can move from the floor to standing without assistance and is appropriate for those new to yoga. Bring a mat, firm blanket or towel to practice and clothes comfortable for movement.
Kristin Sage has been teaching in Madison since 2003, and provides gentle, attentive guidance in a warm, welcoming community space.
Registration opens September 16th for this 6-week series.

Madison Writing Assistance: General and Job-Related Writing Help

Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind, including resumes and cover letters, school assignments, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters, articles, memoirs, poems or any other kind of writing. Basic computer help, such as setting up email accounts, searching for jobs online, or filling out online job applications, is also available. Call or visit the library to sign up for a 45 minute appointment.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Interactive Movie

Watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in an interactive showing. We'll cast spells, eat jelly beans, fly paper airplanes, toss a beach ball around and much more! Everyone will receive a prop bag full of surprises and instructions to interact with the movie. This event is for families and children and teens under 17.

Join the Friends of Meadowridge Library for a book sale! On sale will be hundreds of titles, including donated items and titles withdrawn from the library collection.
The sale runs Friday, October 25th from 5:30-7:30pm, and Saturday, October 26th, from 9:00-1:00.
Our Bag Sale runs from 12:00-1:00 on Saturday the 26th. Pay just $5 for each bag of books.
All sales benefit Meadowridge Library.

Human girl Amano Akari is rescued by a vampire, Sophie Twilight, and falls in love with her. She forces herself into Sophies home and begins living with her. Though Sophie is a vampire, she never attacks humans, instead buying blood and anime merchandise online like any ordinary person. A modern-day vampire comedy!
The Hawthorne Anime Club was created to give people a place to gather, watch, and talk about Japanese animation. Each meeting will include screenings of everything from classic titles to new releases. The club is aimed primarily at teens and adults. Films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles. Refreshments served at each meeting.
Call ahead to reserve your spot! People under age 16 who are interested in attending are required to have a parent present or to have a signed parental permission slip.
