Coping with Stress through Journaling
Stress can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Stress that's left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes.
We can't always control the stress in our lives, but we can control how we react to it. In this 1-hour educational session, learn how you react to stress, how it's affecting your health, and how to use journaling as a healthy coping tool.

Deep Dive with Scrivener (Writing Workshop)
Are you struggling to organize your book? Despairing over the drafting and revising in Word? Join Catherine Stephens and Rita Mae Reese for a deep dive into Scrivener, a word processor created by writers for writers. In it you can keep track of deadlines, word counts, mulitiple versions of scenes, characters, and include research, images, and more all in the project you are working in.
There will be time for questions and sharing. Bring your own laptop with Scrivener loaded. You can download a free trial of Scrivener (https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener/overview). The trial period is good for 30 days of use; after that, it's $45 to download ($38.25 with an education discount).

Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind, including school assignments, resumes and cover letters, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters, articles, memoirs, poems and absolutely any other kinds of writing.
Appointments for writing assistance may be made the week of assistance. Call 266-6395 to make a 45-minute appointment. Due to high demand, you are encouraged to call as soon as the library opens (Tuesdays at 10 a.m., or Saturdays at 9 a.m.)
