QPR - Suicide Prevention Training for Adoptive and Guardianship Parents

Meeting Room 115
Monday, Sep 9, 6:00pm to 8:00pm

The Wisconsin Adoption & Permanency Support Program is hosting a suicide prevention workshop for adoptive and guardianship parents or any parent who wants to learn more about suicide prevention. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
