Saturday morning fun with stories, songs, crafts, and snacks, especially for dads and their kids. *Moms, Grandparents and other super important people welcome, too!
Create Your Comic Story, starring you! @ Central Library
Complete your summer reading bingo card and earn your Golden Ticket to attend this special end of summer celebration at any library you choose! (Formerly called Choose Your Own Adventure Story.)
Explore green screen and digital comic making technology to transport yourself to imaginary worlds or interplanetary adventures. Incorporate your own drawings or a beloved picture book to be a character in your favorite story. The possibilities are endless! Each participant will receive a printed and digital copy of your comic story to share. All ages welcome. Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.
Drop-In Basic Computer Help
Get help with basic computer questions: email, printing, filling out online forms, etc.
Mondays: 12-4 pm

Mystery Games at Hawthorne
Play a variety of role-playing mystery games, such as "How to Host a Murder", plus puzzle games, including "Exit" and "Unlock"
Open Media Lab
The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.
Lab Staff For Today:
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cyanotypes & Clay Workshop
Participants will have the chance to play with natural light by harnessing the sun to make cyanotype prints. Adding in the flexibility and playfulness of clay, we will make shapes, letters, and other forms from clay to make designs with the cyanotype print. Kiddos should be accompanied by an adult.
