In this 3-day Filmmaking camp, teens will work with a professional filmmaker to produce a short film using the library's Digital Media Lab. Attendees will learn what goes into the 'lights, camera and action!' of making a film - from camera work to lighting, editing and acting. Once completed all attendees will leave with a copy of the film they helped produce!

Must attend all 3 classes, July 23-25.

Grab your friends for multiplayer Minecraft fun at the library and connect to the library's private servers for a customized gameplay experience using MinecraftEDU. This summer, we'll work on challenges together and have time for free play. No account necessary. Sign up for 30 minute turns based on attendance.

The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.

Lab Staff For Today:

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Meets most Thursday evenings! Middle and high school students can meet other aspiring authors, bounce ideas off one another, share your stories, and feel the creativity flow! Writing club will be led by local author Carole Madrzak.
