Memory Screening

A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory. It creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Specialists from the Aging & Disability Resource Center will provide these free 15-minute, confidential memory screenings and will have information about memory, memory clinics, brain health and local resources that are available. Call 608-246-4547 to sign up beginning May 1.

Nutritious meals are offered to those 60 and older. The suggested minimum contribution is $4.00 per meal but participants are encouraged to pay what they can afford. If you are under age 60 and do not meet the nutrition program eligibility guidelines, you are required to pay the total cost of your meal which is $10.23. Transportation is available by a $1.00 donation round trip. The meal is served at noon and participants must arrive on time. Meal and bus reservations or cancellations should be made by noon the preceding business day by calling 238-7368 ext. 8

Come view and contribute to an ongoing project mapping participants’ questions and discoveries as they migrate from the walls to a tabletop diorama. A seating area and separate bathysphere lounge, along with a selection of print and digital resources will support discussions, reading, writing, paper craft, collage, and drawing for families and all ages.

Alicia Ashman Library hosts this club for crocheters, knitters, and other fiber-crafters. This group meets twice a month, on first and third Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the library. It's a great place to meet with other crafters, learn about different techniques, share your own work, and just commune in general with other creative souls. While there is no formal instructor for this group, there are knowledgeable veteran yarn crafters who are generous with their wisdom. No registration required--just drop by.
