Congressional Art Competition Reception with Congressman Mark Pocan
Please join us for a reception celebrating the artistic talent of our students. All students, parents, teachers, friends, and family members are welcome to attend. Students will have the opportunity to meet with, and take pictures with Congressman Pocan. The Congressman will then announce the top four pieces selected by our judging panel of art community members from throughout the district. One grand prize winner will receive the honor of having their artwork put on display in our nations capitol for an entire year. Additionally, the winner will receive a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in a national reception, and to see their work in the capitol first-hand.
The Congressional Art Competition is an annual celebration of the artistic talent of our students in south-central Wisconsin. It is important to foster and celebrate the creative drive of our high school youth, and the competition gives a positive outlet for students to share their talent with their community.
