Partners in Practice with Beyond Dane
Come and join early care and education professionals to connect and reflect on hot topics in the ECE field. This is an informal meet and greet where we hope to build connections and partnerships within our early education community. We hope to see you there!

Print & Resist 2019
Join dozens of regional artists, writers, print-makers and advocates for a day-long festival of transformative, and transgressive DIY publishing and printmaking. Various makers will be present and ready to share their work with the Madison area community.
Drop in throughout the day to see their work, create your own zines, and learn more about this long-standing art form. The event is free to attend and open to the public, keeping in mind that artists will not be censored and some content may not be suitable for children.

The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.

Madison Writing Assistance: General and Job-Related Writing Help
Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind, including school assignments, resumes and cover letters, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters, articles, memoirs, poems and absolutely any other kinds of writing.
Appointments for writing assistance may be made the week of assistance. Call 266-6395 to make a 45-minute appointment. Due to high demand, you are encouraged to call as soon as the library opens (Tuesdays at 10 a.m., or Saturdays at 9 a.m.)

An all-ages presentation about creativity that takes students through the process of making the middle-grade book "Spark: a guide to ignite the creativity inside you". Author Andrea Debbink and illustrator Emily Balsley will share how they went through the Imagine, Make, Tinker, and Finish process described in the book.
