Felting for a Cause: Using Wool to Support your Community!

Felting for a Cause: Using Wool to Support your Community!

Bubbler
Sun, 04/07/2019 - 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Join us in learning how to turn raw wool into felt. This workshop for all ages will focus on wet felting with sustainable, locally-sourced materials. We invite you to come learn how it’s done and create a piece that will be part of a felt wall inside the Dane County Jail Visitation Waiting Room. Each felt piece donated from the workshop will be sewn together to create a quilt-like hanging for the wall. The felt wall will be placed in the family visitation waiting room as part of an effort to foster a more child-friendly environment. You are also welcome to take your piece home with you!

No experience needed; registration is required; max 10 participations

They have been active members of the Madison music scene for many years, and formed this group in order to focus on their songwriting. They will perform 2 sets of original compositions with elements of jazz, R&B, and pop.

Sunday Jazz at Sequoya is funded via the generosity of the Friends of Sequoya Library. Produced in partnership with the Madison Jazz Society.
