Painted Stones Drop-in Activity
Drop-in stone painting for all ages, free and open to the public. We will provide stones and Posca paint pens to decorate them. Make the stones for yourself, as a gift, or hide them for strangers to find as part of the "kindness rocks" project. No registration or experience is needed. It is recommended that participants wear clothes that can get dirty.
This workshop is held in conjunction with the Overture Center's painted stones exhibition.
Vegan Valentines Treats with The Mint Bunny
Special occasion treats are packed with refined sugars, dairy and cholesterol but it doesnt have to be that way. Animation Film Study Workshop (w/ co-facilitator David Beasley)
This unique workshop led by artist-in-residence, Rodney Lambright II offers the opportunity to watch and explore the planning and creativity behind some of the films and animations that first inspired him. Participants will be let through this workshop with specific writing and drawing prompts, followed by a group discussion co-facilitated by David Beasley.
Open Media Lab
The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.
