Bring your fabulous self and celebrate diversity, differences, and imagination through fun, age-appropriate stories, songs, and activities with local drag performers.

Doors open at 10 am for crafts and facepainting; storytime at 10:30.

This program is intended for families with children of all ages, and grownups must be accompanied by a child. Storytime space is limited to the first 100 children and families. Crafts and facepainting available for everyone. ​

Do you love to create awesome, fashion-forward, or just plain wacky costumes to express your larger than life personality? Would you like to? Join us for a very special rainbow and glitter filled Saturday of cosplay fun. Craft armor from egg crates, gowns from mylar, suits from bubble wrap,or shoes from duct tape and strut your stuff on the Sequoya red carpet. Children under the age of 7 will need grown-up help. Many awesome supplies are welcome but please bring any special materials you may want to use.

The Media Lab at Central Library is a free space to explore digital media production in the realms of stop motion animation, 3D world design, green screen video, audio design and graphic design. Drop in and explore the lab or work on projects with the expertise of our media lab staff.

Lab staff for today will be:
1-4 Nate- Expertise in film production, editing, animation, game design, graphic design, and digital art.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bubbler and the Media Lab are supported by grants from Madison Public Library Foundations and The Friends of the Madison Public Library.

Ryder. Alas, Blackjack is shot dead by a member of the wedding party. Don't bet on the guilty suspect... It may be YOU!

Free one-on-one coaching sessions for writing projects of any kind, including school assignments, resumes and cover letters, personal letters, applications, forms, newsletters, articles, memoirs, poems and absolutely any other kinds of writing. Appointments for writing assistance may be made the day of assistance only! Call 266-6395 to make a 45-minute appointment. Due to high demand, you are encouraged to call as soon as the library opens (Saturdays at 9 a.m.) This free service is provided by the UW-Madison Writing Center through the College of Letters & Sciences.
