Book Discussion of Educated: a Memoir by Tara Westover

Meeting Room 302
Wednesday, Nov 20, 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Westover had no traditional schooling, no medical treatment beyond what her parents administered, and no perspective beyond that of her family on the physical and emotional abuse that was happening within their family. Due to her own tenacity and intellect, Westover taught herself many things- including algebra and trigonometry- and left home for an education at Brigham Young University. From there, her world and world-view opened up. Join us for discussion and dessert!
